Quay Walker was born in Cordele, Georgia. He attended Crisp County High School and recorded 109 tackles, eight sacks, and one interception as a junior. Rated a four-star recruit, Walker first committed to playing college football for Alabama before his senior year in 2017 but transferred to Georgia in early 2018.

Quay Walker appeared in all 14 games for Georgia during his freshman season, making a total of six tackles. He saw more playing time as a sophomore and finished the season with 23 tackles, 3.5 tackle losses, and 2.5 sacks. He finished the season as Georgia’s fourth-best tackler as he was a leading tackler with 43 in his junior years.

Quay Walker was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Packers previously acquired the pick in a trade that sent Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. He signed the rookie contract on May 6, 2022.
