He is the founder of Action Group and serves as the chairman of Action Aviation, a renowned international aircraft brokerage company headquartered in Dubai. Harding has made significant contributions to aviation and holds three Guinness World Records.

With a background in Natural Sciences and Chemical Engineering from Cambridge University, Harding possesses a diverse skill set. He holds an Airline Transport Pilots License and has obtained business jet type ratings, including the Gulfstream G650. Additionally, he is an avid skydiver, demonstrating his adventurous spirit.

In 2017, Hamish Harding collaborated with White Desert, an Antarctic VIP tourism company, to introduce the first regular business jet service to the Antarctic. Utilizing a Gulfstream G550, he successfully landed on Wolfsfang Runway, a newly created ice runway. Showing his passion for exploration, Harding has visited the South Pole multiple times and accompanied Buzz Aldrin in 2016 on his historic journey as the oldest person to reach the South Pole at the age of 86.

In 2019, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, Harding led a team of aviators, including astronaut Col. Terry Virts, in setting a Guinness World Record for circumnavigating the Earth via the North and South Poles in a Gulfstream G650ER. This remarkable feat was accomplished in just 46 hours and 40 minutes, showcasing their exceptional speed and determination.

One of Harding’s most notable achievements took place on 5 March 2021 when he, alongside Victor Vescovo, descended to the deepest point of the Mariana Trench, known as the Challenger Deep, in a two-man submarine. This daring expedition set two Guinness World Records for the greatest length covered at full ocean depth and the greatest time spent at full ocean depth, reaching an astonishing depth of 36,000 feet.

In June 2023, it was widely reported by the BBC and other media outlets that Hamish Harding, along with four other individuals, embarked on an expedition to explore the submerged wreckage of RMS Titanic. They were presumed to be paying passengers aboard the Titan submersible, which was operated by Ocean Gate Inc.

The dive took them to a depth of over 12,000 feet (3,700 meters) below the surface of the North Atlantic. However, after approximately one hour and 45 minutes into the dive, the submersible went missing. It is believed that the submersible had enough air reserves to last for 96 hours.
