Terry Richardson Social Media: Born on Saturday, August 14, 1965, Terrence Richardson is an American fashion and portrait photographer.

Growing up, Richardson wanted to be a punk rock musician. He played bass guitar in the punk rock band; The Invisible Government for four years.

He also played bass for various other punk bands in Southern California including Signal Street Alcoholics, Doggy Style, Baby Fist, and Middle Finger.

In November 2023, the once-famous fashion photographer hit the headlines after he was accused of sexual assault on Tuesday, November 21.

A Spanish model, Minerva Portillo filed a lawsuit Tuesday against Richardson, accusing him of sexually assaulting her during a photo shoot.

Portillo alleged in court papers that Richardson gave her a “narcotic” drink in 2004 and took pictures while he forced her to “perform oral sex” on him.

According to the lawsuit by the model, Richardson then exhibited, published, and sold photos from the incident without her consent.

Portillo’s lawsuit was filed in New York City a day before the deadline to file claims under the state’s Adult Survivors Act.

As a photographer, Richardson has shot the campaigns of fashion brands and designers such as Marc Jacobs, Aldo, Supreme, Sisley, Tom Ford, and Yves Saint Laurent, among others.

The 58-year-old photographer has also worked for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, i-D, Vice, and Harper’s Bazaar.

He has produced several campaigns for Diesel, including the ‘Global Warming Ready’ which won a Silver Lion for Print at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2007

Since 2001, Richardson has been accused multiple times of using his influence in the fashion industry to exploit models during photo shoots sexually.

In 2017, he was blacklisted by the fashion world after multiple models accused him of sexual assault and rape.

Brands and magazines that had worked with Richardson in the past began distancing themselves from him and said they would no longer employ him. Richardson has not actively worked as a photographer since 2018.
