Television showed footage of their creation, but before they made their public debut, Hyun-Seung was dropped, leaving them with a roster of only five people.
Dong was first apprehensive about joining a band, but he ultimately warmed up to the others. Because “the sun is the brightest star among the many stars in the cosmos,” Taeyang, which means sun, was chosen as his stage name.
