Marbury played collegiate basketball with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets during his freshman year before he was selected 1st round, 4th overall pick in the 1996 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Shortly after, he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves where he played his first three seasons as a professional basketball player.
