Simone Biles siblings-American artist gymnast, Simone Biles Owens was born on March 14, 1997 in Columbus, Ohio in the United States of America.

Biles considers Belize to be her second home and possesses Belizean citizenship through her adoptive mother. The Biles family is religiously Catholic.

In Harris County, Biles attended Benfer Elementary School. Biles made the decision to transition from public to homeschooling in 2012, which allowed her to boost her training schedule from 20 to 32 hours per week.

She completed her secondary education entirely at home and received her diploma in the middle of 2015. On August 4, 2014, Biles verbally committed to UCLA.

She signed her national letter of intent with UCLA in November 2014 with the intention of delaying enrolling until after the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympics.

She made the decision to turn professional and give up her NCAA eligibility to play for UCLA on July 29, 2015.

Biles is an American artist gymnast who hails from Columbus, Ohio in the United States of America.

Her seven Olympic medals are tied for ninth most overall and tied with Shannon Miller’s for the most Olympic medals ever won by an American gymnast.

She is the most decorated gymnast in the history of the Gymnastics World Championships and is widely regarded as the best gymnast of all time. She has won 25 medals at World Championship competitions.

Joe Biden presented Biles with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022. Biles earned gold medals for herself in the all-around, vault, and floor events, bronze on the balance beam, and gold with the US team known as the “Final Five” at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

When Biles struggled with “the twisties,” a temporary lack of awareness of one’s air balance, she withdrew from the majority of the competition at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, where she was expected to win at least four of the six possible gold medals.

In the end, she won a bronze medal on the balancing beam and a silver medal with the US team. Her perseverance, attention to safety, mental health, and partial disengagement were lauded.

Some of Biles’ accomplishments in her career included, a five-time World all-around champion (2013–2015, 2018–2019), five-time World floor exercise champion (2013–2015, 2018–2019), three-time World balance beam champion (2014–2015, 2019).

She is also a two-time World vault champion (2018–2019), a seven-time United States national all-around champion (2013–2016, 2018–2019, 2021), and a member of the gold medal-winning American teams at 2014, 2015, 2018, and 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

She also has three World bronze medals (2015 on vault, 2013 and 2018 on balancing beam), three World silver medals (2013 and 2014 on vault, 2018 on uneven bars), and three World bronze medals (2013 and 2018 on uneven bars).

By earning her 24th and 25th medals, both gold, during the 2019 tournament in Stuttgart, Biles broke Vitaly Scherbo’s record of 23 World medals, becoming the gymnast with the most World medals (25) and World gold medals (19).

She holds the most World all-around titles among female gymnasts (5). She is the first gymnast since Lilia Podkopayeva in 1996 to hold both titles concurrently. She is the sixth woman to win an individual all-around title at the World Championships and the Olympics.

She achieved this feat at the 2018 World Championships in Doha, becoming the tenth female gymnast and the first American female gymnast to win a medal in every event at a single World Championships or Olympic Games. She is also the first female gymnast since Daniela Silivaș in 1988 to do so.
