Samantha Womack Siblings: Meet Hugh And Zoe: Samantha Womack, officially known as Samantha Zoe Womack is an English actress, singer, model, and director.

She has been consistent throughout her career rising through the ranks to become one of the most sought-after acts in film, television, and stage.

Womack initially planned a career in singing and she represented the United Kingdom in the 1991 Eurovision Song Contest.

Her song for the contest, “A Message to Your Heart”, was released as her first (and only) single in April 1991 and reached number 30 on the UK Singles Chart.

Womack became a household name in the mid-1990s with her role as Mandy Wilkins in “Game On” leading to roles in the BBC One drama “Pie In The Sky” and the sitcom “Babes In The Wood”.

She has since become known for playing the role of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders (2007–2011, 2013–2017). Her portrayal of Ronnie gained her more prominence and acting roles after some time out of the limelight.

Womack also played Tanya Porter in Sky One comedy-drama Mount Pleasant from 2013 until the final episode in 2017.

She has also toured across the United Kingdom playing Morticia Addams in the stage musical The Addams Family.

In May 2023, Samantha Womack hit the headlines when she made an appearance on Good Morning Britain (GMB) where she spoke about returning to EastEnders.

Womack played Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders up until the character’s death in 2017. Her on-screen sister Roxy Mitchell, played by Rita Simons, returned to the show recently – as a figment of her daughter Amy’s imagination.

Rita Simons appeared on GMB last week where she said there could possibly be a full-time comeback to the Eastenders.

During Womack’s appearance on GMB, she was questioned about Simons’ comments on whether she too could make a return, Womack said: “I love her positivity.

“We were seen at the end of the episode floating quite lifelessly in the pool. But I like her positivity.”

Womack first appeared on EastEnders in 2007 as Ronnie. She quit the soap in 2011, and her character was sent to prison.

In May 2013, it was confirmed that Womack would return to EastEnders as Ronnie.

Ronnie was then killed off in 2017. The character drowned after trying to save her sister Roxy from doing the same following an overdose.
