Gosens started his professional club career when he joined Dordrecht on loan during the 2013-2014 season in the Eerste Divisie. He was there for 2 seasons and registered a total of 53 appearances with 3 goals to his name before his departure.
He then joined Heracles Almelo in the Eredivisie in 2015-2016 for 2 seasons. He was able to pull off 70 appearances with 5 goals to his name for the club before he parted ways with them.
