Piers Morgan is a profuse writer, with over 11 books registered to his name. Piers Morgan has been nominated twice for t he Royal Television Society UK awards. In 2021, he won a gong at the TRIC Awards.

His birth name/full name is Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan O’Meara. His father’s name is Vincent Eamonn O’Meara and his mother’s name is Gabrielle Georgina Sybille.

His father worked as a dentist and is Irish. Morgan also has a brother, Jeremy, who is two years older than him. Sadly, Piers’ father died when he was just 11 months old.

His mother then remarried Glynne Pughe-Morgan. Piers took his stepfather’s surname.

His father Vincent Eamonn O’Meara was an Irish dentist and his mother Gabrielle Georgina  Sybille was an English woman.

His ethnicity includes Irish, Scottish, English, and Portuguese.

In 1991, Piers Morgan wed Marion Shalloe for the first time. Albert, Spencer, and Stanley were their three boys together. The couple split in 2008.

His second wife, journalist Celia Walden, whom he married in 2010, gave birth to their daughter, whom they called Elise, in 2011.

Piers Morgan’s father, Eamonn Vincent O’Meara, was an Irish dentist who died in a car accident when Piers was only 11 months old.

Eamonn is not remembered by the TV personality because he was too young at the time. He is, however, very proud of his Irish ancestry, as he stated during his speech at the 2019 Irish Post Award.
