Nick Offerman Bio, Parents, Wife, Children, Siblings: Nick Offerman, officially known as Nicholas David Offerman is an American actor, writer, comedian, producer, and carpenter.
He was born on June 26, 1970, in Joliet, Illinois, United States, and attended Minooka Community High School after which he furthered his education at the University of Illinois where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.
Offerman made his film debut at a younger age and has been consistent since then. Growing up, he became acquainted with Amy Poehler, who was heavily involved with the Chicago improv comedy scene.
Offerman is best known for his role as Ron Swanson in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation for which he received the Television Critics Association Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy.
He’s also known for his role in The Founder, in which he portrays Richard McDonald. Offerman also served as an executive producer for the film The House of Tomorrow, in which he also starred.
Since 2018, he has co-hosted the NBC reality competition series, Making It, with Amy Poehler for which they have bagged two nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program.
Offerman has provided voice work for The Lego Movie franchise, Hotel Transylvania 2, Ice Age: Collision Course, and the Sing film franchise and played Agent Powers on Gravity Falls.
In 2020, he hosted Have A Good Trip: Adventures in Psychedelics on Netflix. In 2023, Offerman appeared in the third episode of the HBO series The Last of Us as Bill.
His performance, along with that of his co-star Murray Bartlett, was critically acclaimed, with some critics naming it a career-best performance, and Dais Johnston of Inverse labeled them as “Emmy-worthy”.
