He was one of the top players in his class and a five-star recruit. He made a commitment to play college football at Ohio State University.

The 49ers exercised the fifth-year option on Bosa’s rookie contract on April 25, 2022. Bosa was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Month for the month of November by the NFL on December 1. He had 3 sacks, 10 quarterback hits, 5 tackles for a loss, and the 49ers went 3-0 in those 3 games in November.

John Bosa is a former American football defensive end who spent three seasons with the National Football League’s Miami Dolphins (NFL). He attended Keene High School in Keene, New Hampshire, and earned a full athletic scholarship to play for the Boston College Eagles. The Dolphins selected him in the first round (16th overall) of the 1987 NFL Draft.
