Who are Nella Rose’s parents?
Nella Rose was born to parents of Congolese descent who moved to the United Kingdom when she was seven years old. Her mother died in 2016 and her father died in 2020.
In a tribute to her late father in 2020, Rose wrote on her social media; “Rest in Peace Daddy. Witnessing your struggle over the last month has been the most challenging experience of my life, but I find solace in the fact that you’re no longer in pain. I’ll strive to make you the proudest father in the years ahead, knowing that you’re still with me every step of the way.”

In 2016, Rose created a YouTube channel and started posting videos there while she was a student. She uploaded fashion hauls and hair instructions in addition to her usual vlogs.
Regarding her choice to focus solely on YouTube, Rose mentioned that it has given her the chance to meet and speak with celebrities, attend events, and travel to areas she could never have visited.
She also took home the PrettyLittleThing Influencer Awards’ YouTuber of the Year title. Rose co-hosted the Pressed podcast with Adeola Patronne and Mariam Musa on BBC Radio 1Xtra in August 2021.
Alongside Munya Chawawa, Rose served as the digital host for the 2022 Brit Awards red carpet livestream in February 2022. Rose made a special appearance on Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date YouTube series in April 2022.
In the same month, it was revealed that she and Oobah Butler would be joining Julie Adenuga as the new hosts of the MTV reality series Catfish UK.
Rose revealed her partnership with PrettyLittleThing, a fashion brand, in June 2022. To celebrate, she unveiled a 40-piece summer collection.
She made an appearance on an episode of Don’t Hate the Playaz in November 2022. She was the recipient of the MOBO Awards 2022’s Best Media Personality prize that same month.
Rose made a comeback in February 2023, this time presenting the red carpet live stream at the Brit Awards alongside Michelle Visage.
Rose, along with her podcast co-hosts Patronne and Musa and Chloe Burrows, play practical jokers in the May 2023 Channel 4.0 digital series Tapped Out.
The goal of the show is to see “who can last the longest in a range of hilarious and cringeworthy situations, aiming to execute the wildest pranks possible.”
