Joshua Tan is perhaps best known for his leading role in the “Ah Boys To Men” tetralogy which is also the highest-grossing Singaporean film. Since Ah Boys To Men, Joshua has been cast in several other films such as Hongbaos & Kisses (2013), Young & Fabulous (2016), Rise (2016), Long Long Time Ago (2016), 4 Love (2016), October (2015), Code of Law Season 3 (2015), Cradle of Life (2015), How We Met (2015), Rojak (2016), WarTime Singapore (2016), Project Ground Zero (2016), P.I. (2016), Fine Tune (2016), and Lion Moms (2015 – 2018).
In addition to acting, Joshua Tan has appeared in various TV shows for MediaCorp, including a documentary on the effects of aging and dementia (Channel News Asia) and most recently, Channel 5’s educational series, Ship To Shore, on a career in the shipping industry. He has also hosted various live events such as the Sengkang Chinese New Year Event 2020 and Prudential Q3 Circle of Champions 2019. In 2020, he shared the stage with the rest of the Ah Boys to Men cast and captivated nearly 700 audiences at the Singapore Chinese Cultural Center Re: Mix Getai 2020.
In 2019, Joshua Tan reprised his role as Marcus Lim in season 3 of The Lion Mama, alongside other cast members such as Linang, Nurul Aini, and Vanessa Vanderstraten. He appeared in Cheerleader Toggle Original Cheerific, Viddsee’s The Multiverse At 13 Hill Ave, and WaWa Picture’s Time Capsule. Joshua is also a passionate fighter who has been studying Muay Thai for over ten years. He is also trained in stunts and do most of the stunt work himself, including wire work. Joshua is a JM artist sold by FLY Entertainment.
