João Pedro Cavaco Cancelo is a professional Portuguese footballer who plays for Bayern Munich on loan and also for the Portuguese National Team as a full-back or a wing-back.

He started his professional career in 2012-2013 when he joined the Benfica team. He spent 2 seasons there which was shared simultaneously between the Benfica B and the main Benfica team.

Cancelo made a total of 51 appearances with 3 goals to his name for the Benfica B, and made a total of 2 appearances for the main Benfica team before his departure.

Cancelo first joined Valencia in 2014-2015 as a loan player and later became a permanent player of theirs. He spent a total of 4 seasons at the Spanish La Liga side and made a total of 91 appearances with 4 goals to his name before his departure.
