I Prayed To God Not To Allow Anyone To Raise Their Hand At My Wedding Because Of My Past Escapades’ – Bukola Bekes’ Husband Speaks
Nigerian gospel singers, Damilola and Bukola have shared their marital journey and opened up on their lessons learnt in being married for 11 years.
Damilola and Bukola who had an exclusive interview with media personality, Tope Omogbolagun revealed that they met in a church and their meeting was orchestrated by God.
Damilola when asked about what stood out for him on their wedding day, he disclosed that when the pastor asked if someone has any objection to their union, he prayed to God not to let anyone put up his hand because of his past romantic and se.xual life.

Our wedding was a musical event. The glory of God came down. There was the part where the pastor asked the congregation that, “Is anyone here that objects to this union?” I prayed to God not to allow anyone to raise their hand because of my past escapades. Thank God there was no objection.
Bukola: Everything about our wedding day was awesome, starting from the engagement to the church service and the reception. The church service was a concert and the reception was awesome. Everything stood out from the beginning to the end.
Giving their advice to young people who are yet to marry, Bukola said;
‘For those about to marry, they should fear and serve God. They should make sure that they are in tune with the Holy Spirit. Don’t marry of your will but of God’s will. If you do that, you will be happy at the end of the day.’
