How many seasons of Invincible are there? – Invincible is a gripping adult animated superhero television series, and it emerged from the creative mind of Robert Kirkman for Amazon Prime Video.

Premiering on March 25, 2021, the show is based on the popular Image Comics series of the same name, co-created by Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley.

It follows the journey of 17-year-old Mark Grayson. Mark must navigate the delicate balance between his personal life and superhero responsibilities, facing the challenge of proving himself as a hero in his own right.

Interestingly, before the animated series was brought to life, a live-action film adaptation of Invincible was in development. Universal Pictures was spearheading the project, with Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen set to direct the film. The movie was intended to stay true to the comic series, garnering an R rating for its faithfulness to the original source material. However, with the animated series taking the spotlight, the film project was temporarily put on hold. Eventually, it was clarified that the film and series would exist as separate entities, each providing its unique take on the Invincible universe.

Robert Kirkman’s collaboration with Amazon Prime Video for various series led to the creation of Invincible as an animated show. Although the comic series was initially considered for development, the film adaptation’s progress posed certain challenges. Nonetheless, Amazon picked up the animated series in June 2018, ordering the first season comprising eight hour-long episodes.

Simon Racioppa served as the showrunner for Invincible, joining forces with Kirkman, David Alpert, and Catherine Winder as executive producers. Skybound Entertainment was one of the production companies involved in bringing the series to life. Interestingly, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, who serve as executive producers and co-directors for the live-action film adaptation, also lent their voices to the animated show, further bridging the two projects.
