Ghana Named Among The Top 10 African Countries Where Doctors Receive High Salaries

Ghana has been named to be part of the top ten countries in Africa where doctors receive good and high salaries.

This was made known in a recent survey named the Average Salary Survey. The list saw South Africa occupying the first position with Ghana occupying the 8th position. Ghana’s West African neighbor, Nigeria could not make the list as this really proves that doctors in Nigeria are really not making big money.

Check out the list below;

“Africa’s Highest Paid Doctors by Average Salaries (Monthly)

  1. South Africa – $3,400
  2. Morocco – $3,300
  3. Botswana, Kenya – $3,000
  4. Namibia – $2,700
  5. Seychelles – $2,600
  6. Libya – $2,100
  7. Ghana – $1,600
  8. Tanzania, Uganda – $1,300″

Some reactions the list drew from social media users are;

@nanakwasiopoku – That’s a big difference to be a doctor in my home land Ghana to that of South Africa.

@MotariGift – Kwani Kenya tuko kila mahali….its almost like we are africa giants

@kins1gh – By 2030 the only Doctors will be left in Nigeria are the Native Doctors 😂

@Mhurfhy1 – Nigeria can’t make Top 20 on this list

@markjulin – My mother land Ghana That’s why alots of the doctors love abroad like that

@Miradaline – I don’t believe the Ghana one tho . With the present exchange rate to dollars, I think only specialist/ consultant receive that.

@MrNoah_Tias – The Nigerian government must ask themselves why almost all Nigerian graduate doctors leave the country. Why there are more Nigerian doctors in New York than in Lagos.
