He made his debut in the Tamil film Red (2002) directed by Singampuri. He is best known for the film Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) directed by Gautam Menon.

Prior to VTV, he had minor roles in films such as Red (2002), Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006), Pachaikili Muthucharam (2007), and Vaaranam Aayiram (2008).
