Fetty Wap Songs

Fetty Wap Songs – Willie Junior Maxwell II, professionally known as Fetty Wap, is an accomplished American rapper, singer, and songwriter.

Born on June 7, 1991, he made a significant impact on the music scene with his unique style and infectious melodies. Fetty Wap rose to prominence in May 2015 with his debut single “Trap Queen,” which soared to the second position on the prestigious U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song’s immense success propelled him into the limelight and earned him a record deal with 300 Entertainment, marking the beginning of his promising career.

Following the triumph of “Trap Queen,” Fetty Wap unleashed a series of chart-topping hits. His subsequent releases, “679” featuring Remy Boyz and the remixed version of “My Way” featuring Drake, both achieved top 10 positions on the U.S. charts. These three tracks served as the cornerstone of his self-titled debut album, released in September 2015. The album not only received critical acclaim but also reached the pinnacle of the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, solidifying Fetty Wap’s status as a bona fide star.

Despite his remarkable success, he has faced several legal challenges throughout his career. He has been entangled in various lawsuits, including allegations of copyright infringement, defamation, property damage, and assault. These legal battles have undoubtedly posed obstacles for the talented artist, but he has managed to persevere and maintain his musical presence.

In addition to his legal troubles, he has faced personal challenges as well. Born with glaucoma affecting both eyes, he has undergone medical procedures in an attempt to salvage his vision. Unfortunately, doctors were unable to save his left eye, resulting in the need for an ocular prosthesis. Despite this physical setback, Fetty Wap’s artistic vision remains unwavering as he continues to create and perform with passion and dedication.

Outside of his music career, his personal life has garnered attention. He attended Eastside High School before deciding to drop out and pursue his dreams in the music industry. This bold move demonstrated his unwavering commitment to his craft and set the stage for his rise to stardom.

However, along with his achievements, he has experienced significant setbacks in recent years. On November 2, 2017, he encountered legal trouble once again when he was arrested during a late-night traffic stop on a Brooklyn highway. The charges against him included drunk driving, reckless endangerment, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, illegally changing lanes, and drag racing. These charges served as a stark reminder of the challenges he faced both personally and professionally.

More recently, on October 29, 2021, federal prosecutors unsealed an indictment against Fetty Wap, accusing him of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled substances. He was apprehended at Citi Field and subsequently pleaded not guilty to the federal drug charges in a New York court. Despite his initial plea, the legal battle took a turn, and on August 22, 2022, Fetty Wap decided to plead guilty to the drug charges. This decision, along with prior violations of his pretrial release conditions, led to his incarceration on August 8, 2022.

Finally, on May 24, 2023, Fetty Wap received his sentence of six years in prison in New York. The news saddened his fans and the music industry as a whole, as they were forced to confront the reality of his absence from the scene for an extended period.

Fetty Wap’s story serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges that often accompany success.
