Derrick Lewis Children: Does Derrick Lewis Have Kids? – Derrick Lewis is a professional MMA fighter from the United States. He currently competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the Heavyweight division, where he holds the record for most knockouts in UFC history.

Lewis has been a professional fighter since 2010, competing for Bellator MMA and Legacy FC, where he was the Heavyweight Champion. He is ranked number 7 in the UFC heavyweight rankings as of August 1, 2022.

Derrick Lewis made his MMA debut as an amateur against Jay Ross at LSAMMA on October 16, 2009, marking the beginning of his professional career. He was knocked out via TKO.

He competed against Tim Buchanan on January 30, 2010, at a US American Combat Association event. He triumphed via KO.

Lewis began his professional career in 2010, and before joining Bellator Fighting Championships in May of that same year, he amassed a 4-1 record.

On May 21, 2011, at Bellator 45, Lewis was scheduled to make his professional debut against the Brazilian Thiago Santos. The fight was abandoned, though, when Santos was forced to leave early due to an injury. On June 25, 2011, Lewis competed against Tony Johnson at Bellator 46, but lost.

On August 28, 2013, Nandor Guelmino was Lewis’ opponent for his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night: Condit vs. Kampmann 2. Lewis, however, had to withdraw due to an injury, so the fight was called off.

Instead, Lewis faced Jack May in his UFC on Fox: Werdum vs. Browne debut on April 19, 2014. In the opening round, he prevailed by TKO.

Lewis competed against Guto Inocente at The Ultimate Fighter 19 Finale on July 6, 2014, in his second match for the promotion. In the first round, he obtained a KO victory.

On September 5, 2014, Lewis and Matt Mitrione squared off at UFC Fight Night 50. Lewis was quickly eliminated in the first round by Mitrione.

On July 30, 2022, Lewis and Sergei Pavlovich squared off at UFC 277.
