He hosted “The Abrams Report” and held the position of General Manager of MSNBC. After leaving MSNBC, he concentrated on his show “Live with Dan Abrams” and later “Verdict with Dan Abrams.”
In March 2011, Abrams joined ABC News as Chief Legal Analyst, later becoming the Chief Legal Affairs Anchor and an anchor of “Nightline.” He stepped down from the full-time role in December 2014.
From October 2016 to June 2020, Dan Abrams hosted “Live PD” on A&E. Following this, he joined NewsNation to host “Dan Abrams Live,” which premiered on September 27, 2021. Additionally, Abrams returned as host and executive producer for “On Patrol: Live” on Reelz in 2022.
Abrams is also a media entrepreneur, founding Gossip Cop in 2009 with Michael Lewittes. He started Mediaite in September 2009, Geekosystem in January 2010, Styleite in March 2010 (later rebranded as Runway Riot), SportsGrid in May 2010, The Mary Sue in 2011, and The Braiser in May 2012. In 2016, Abrams launched LawNewz, later rebranded to Law&Crime. In 2018, he launched Ambo TV, a Christian TV streaming service.
In December 2020, Abrams launched Whiskey Raiders, and in September 2022, sister sites Gin Raiders, Tequila Raiders, and Rum Raiders.
Abrams is also a prolific writer, contributing to various publications. He has made on-air appearances on late-night talk shows to cover law, and politics, and promote his books.
