No pants? No problem. That’s the mantra Chrissy Teigen seemed to be living by recently.

She sported a daring look while out celebrating her husband John Legend’s 45th birthday in NYC. It was a Thursday night, and she was rocking the pantsless trend. But, oops! She had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction.

The stylish couple headed to The Polo Bar for his b-day. Teigen, 38, was wearing a sheer black blouse and a pair of tiny velvet hot pants with lace-up detail. Quite the fashion statement, huh?

The cookbook author went without a bra. She revealed more than she bargained for in the plunging blouse, which slipped to the side as they were photographed outside the bar. A bit of an unexpected twist to the night.

She paired her less-is-more outfit with black fishnet tights and strappy heels. She added a gold bag with black fringed trim. Quite the ensemble, right?

Teigen wore her hair down in loose waves for their night out. She showed off soft makeup in neutral tones and a long burgundy manicure. As for the birthday boy, Legend wore a chic black jacket with a tie waist and matching trousers. He wore a silky black shirt underneath.

The mom of four shared an Instagram Story of her husband dancing in a chair during their date night. She shouted, “Go, birthday boy, Go birthday boy!”

Earlier this week, the Cravings author also dared to bare. She sported a cashmere bra and briefs underneath a leather trench on Christmas day. And Teigen is far from the first star to go for the no-pants look this year.

Everyone from Kendall Jenner — who wore a sequined bodysuit to the 2023 Met Gala — to Hailey Bieber and Emma Corrin have rocked underwear as outerwear in 2023. The pantsless look also swept BravoCon this year, with reality stars like Ariana Madix and Paige DeSorbo going with miniature bottoms at the event.

Perhaps Chrissy will leave her pants at home for New Year’s Eve, too. Who knows?
