Cara Delevingne Parents: Meet Pandora Delevingne, and Charles Delevingne – Cara Delevingne reportedly grew up in Belgravia, London, and she happens not to be the only child of her parents as she also has two older sisters, including Poppy Delevingne, and a paternal half-brother.
She maternal grandfather was publishing executive and English Heritage chairman, Sir Jocelyn Stevens. He also happened to be the nephew of magazine publisher, Sir Edward George Warris Hulton as well as the grandson of newspaper proprietor, Sir Edward Hulton, 1st Baronet.
She attended Francis Holland School for Girls in central London and she was a student of the prestigious institution till the time that she was 16. After leaving the school, she moved to Bedales School in Steep, Hampshire. She is on record to have dyspraxia and this made her find school very challenging. She once stated in an interview with Vogue about her battle with depression when she was 15.
After completing her GCSEs at the age of 16, she moved to Bedales School in Hampshire to focus on drama and music, and after a year, she dropped out and followed her sister Poppy into modelling.
She attended and spoke at the Women in the World summit in October 2015. During her submission, Cara Delevingne spoke about her battle with depression, and this started when she discovered her mother’s drug addiction.
She also spoke about how she left school for six months and agreed to go on medication, which she said may have saved her life.
She is on record to have alleged that circa 2016, producer Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed her, and attempted to kiss her without consent. Additionally, he propositioned her for a threesome in a hotel room in exchange for a role.
She indicated that although she declined, she was still cast in the film, but says she regretted it because his actions terrified her.
She started her acting career with a minor role in the 2012 film adaptation of Anna Karenina by Joe Wright.
Since then she has graced several movies and some of her most notable roles are Margo Roth Spiegelman in the romantic mystery film Paper Towns (2015), the Enchantress in the comic book film Suicide Squad (2016), as well as Laureline in Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017).
